Fertility Show Africa (FSA) returns for two days in October with a fully interactive online show that offers participants access to a wide range of world-leading specialists, experts and clinics.
FSA – which is back after its hugely successful debut last year – takes place on Saturday, October 9, and Sunday, October 10, allowing attendees from around South Africa, the African continent and the rest of the world to discover everything they need to know during their fertility journey.
FSA 2021 will give online attendees the opportunity to consult confidentially face-to-face with a wide range of clinics and experts. It will also run an unparalleled speaker programme from leading fertility and alternative parenting experts in a safe space where visitors can engage, ask questions, find answers and gather information from some of South Africa’s best specialists, embryologists, nurses, psychologists and social workers as well an international experts. See the talks programme here.
This year’s online event will be able to reach and serve many more people, not only due to the fact that people will be able to log in from anywhere in the world, but also because there are some who may prefer to interact with our fertility experts in this manner.
Exhibitors range from doctors to clinicians and practitioners to top class fertility clinics, legal advisors and support groups, surrogacy, adoption and donor agencies, natural fertility solutions and supplements, complementary and alternative therapies as well as nutritional and lifestyle advisors.
This year’s show will also include a virtual expo area showcasing a wide range of cutting-edge fertility and journey-to-parenthood products and solutions – enabling visitors to have one-on-one conversations with exhibitors and meeting them live in their booth.
Returning is the unparalleled expert speakers’ programme – Expert Talks – livestreamed to a main stage and featuring professionally produced content. Also back is Support Zone, intimate Q&A sessions with fertility specialists and experts, many of whom have struggled with infertility themselves. Visitors can go live on camera to ask questions or remain anonymous and just listen.
This year’s key FSA partners include Ferring Pharmaceuticals, which will sponsor the Expert Talks, in association with the Infertility Awareness Association of South Africa (IFAASA) and The South African Society of Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecological Endoscopy (SASREG), as well as the newly added Expert Consultations programme and the Medical Specialists’ Lounge.
Says Gottie Scholtz, Ferring Marketing & Sales Manager, Reproductive Health: “Ferring is proud to support such an important, well-organised patient-information congress. Fertility is an important topic and we are passionate about informing, educating and supporting the public on factors relating to fertility.”
Clinical psychologist, speaker, author and SASREG board member, Mandy Rodrigues endorses Scholtz and Williams’ word: “SASREG supports events that empower women and men with information on infertility and fertility treatment and we will once again support the Expert Talks programme with leading experts in the field of reproductive medicine to help visitors become informed and educated and to help them on their journey to parenthood.”
Last year’s Fertility Show Africa – which was opened by Gauteng MEC for Health Dr Bandile Masuku – was a resounding success with capacity crowds visiting the first fertility show to be held on the African continent. Masuku called it “a milestone and ground-breaking event” for South Africa and the African continent and the event also had the support of the US’s first IVF baby Elizabeth Carr who was born in 1981.
